With band members representing six different nations and cultural backgrounds, Soullections blends musical styles in a smooth, soulful sound. The band’s mission is to “connect people from different cultural, ethnic, socio-economic, and demographic bacgrounds” through “the universal language of music.” On Saturday, August 18, Soullections will perform free live music at Mai Village Restaurant on University Avenue in Saint Paul. Dubbed “Soul at the Village,” the event is part of a larger effort to promote University Avenue businesses during construction of the Light Rail.
